OTHER Welcome
I've been working on a project called Arkanodia for a while now, a 2D MMORPG for Android + Windows, and honestly the closest comparison is old Tibia or Margonem - open PvP, skilling up by actually doing things instead of just dumping points into stats, a grind-focused leveling system.
No team, no publisher, definitely no marketing budget, just me building this alone and trying to do it right. At this stage I'm mainly trying to gather a community around the project early on, because I want the game to actually be shaped by the people playing it rather than just by what I assume works - balance, pacing, what feels rewarding vs. what feels like a chore, that kind of thing is a lot easier to get right with real feedback than by guessing alone.
There's no playable build yet, I'm still in alpha, but I've been posting devlogs and talking through those decisions as I make them.
Discord: https://discord.gg/arkanodia/
For alpha and open beta, the level cap will sit somewhere between 100-300 while the core systems get tested - PvP, grinding, skill progression. It's not meant to be the final cap, once things launch it'll keep getting raised gradually based on what the community actually wants and needs, not just going up for the sake of it.
If any of this sounds like your thing feel free to join, ask questions, tell me I'm wrong about something, whatever. Always happy to talk about it.
